Conference on the role of environmental law in transitions to sustainability

Dr. Péter Darák, President of the Curia of Hungary, attended the annual conference of the European Environmental Law Forum in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on 28-30 August 2019.

The conference addressed the issues of circular economy, climate change, water resource management, sustainable biodiversity and facilitating access to courts to improve the enforcement of sustainability.

Public session to be held by the Curia of Hungary on the criminal case related to the ship collision on the Danube

Pursuant to a motion for remedy filed by the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the lawfulness of the placement of the Viking Sigyn ship captain under criminal supervision (case no. Bt. 750/2019) will be examined by the Curia of Hungary in a public session to be held on 29 July 2019 at 9.00 am (address: 1055 Budapest, Markó utca 16.).
