A joint seminar was held by the Curia of Hungary and the Federal Finance Court of Germany on 9-10 July 2019 in Budapest. The event aimed at discussing tax law issues of mutual interest for both courts.
Dr. Péter Darák, President of the Curia of Hungary, attended an international conference on terrorism and illegal migration, held with the participation of chief justices and chief public prosecutors on 24-26 June in Budva, Montenegro.
An international conference entitled “Administrative Dispute in the Central and Eastern European States” was held on 3-4 June 2019 in Opatija, Croatia. The event was co-organised by the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia, the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka, the Hanns Seidel Stiftung, the Federal Administrative Court of Germany and the Jean Monnet Inter-University Centre of Excellence in Opatija.
The Chief Justices of Central and Eastern Europe met for the ninth time on 26-28 May 2019, this time in the Slovak capital, Bratislava.
As a follow-up to the cooperation relations between the two supreme judicial forums, the delegation of the Supreme Court of Latvia paid an official visit to the Curia of Hungary. Upon invitation from the Curia, the six-member Latvian delegation, led by Head of Administration Ms. Sandra Lapina, visited Budapest on 14-16 May 2019.
