Administrative justice in the Central and Eastern European region – international conference in Croatia

An international conference entitled “Administrative Dispute in the Central and Eastern European States” was held on 3-4 June 2019 in Opatija, Croatia. The event was co-organised by the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia, the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka, the Hanns Seidel Stiftung, the Federal Administrative Court of Germany and the Jean Monnet Inter-University Centre of Excellence in Opatija.

Sharing of best practices on supreme court management – visit of the Latvian Supreme Court’s delegation to the Curia of Hungary

As a follow-up to the cooperation relations between the two supreme judicial forums, the delegation of the Supreme Court of Latvia paid an official visit to the Curia of Hungary. Upon invitation from the Curia, the six-member Latvian delegation, led by Head of Administration Ms. Sandra Lapina, visited Budapest on 14-16 May 2019.

Functions of and access to supreme administrative courts

Dr. Péter Darák, President of the Curia of Hungry, attended a seminar in Berlin held by the Association of the Councils of State and Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions of the European Union on 13-14 May 2019.

The seminar was part of a series addressing the process of judicial decision-making. The seminar discussed the functions of and access to supreme administrative courts.
