Publication of the CEPEJ’s 2024 Judicial Systems Evaluation Report

The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), which operates under the auspices of the Council of Europe, was set up to strengthen the quality and efficiency of European justice systems. Its task is to analyse the progress made by judicial systems, identify difficulties and put forward proposals to overcome them, while providing support to the Member States.

Visit of the delegation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland at the Curia of Hungary

Upon invitation by Prof. Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia of Hungary, a delegation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland paid an official visit to Budapest on 16-18 October 2024. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Joanna Misztal-Konecka, President of the Civil Chamber of the Polish Supreme Court.

Visit of the Association of European Administrative Judges’ delegation to the Curia

On 11 June 2024, a delegation of the Association of European Administrative Judges (AEAJ), led by its President, Mr. Sylvain Mérenne, paid an official visit to the Curia of Hungary.

During the exchange of views, Dr. Péter Demjén, Judge of the Curia, President of the Association of Hungarian Administrative Judges, gave a summary of the activities and achievements of the Hungarian Association. Prof. Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia, welcomed the participants and briefly described the historical development of the adjudication of administrative cases in Hungary.
