Visit of the delegation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland at the Curia of Hungary

Upon invitation by Prof. Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia of Hungary, a delegation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland paid an official visit to Budapest on 16-18 October 2024. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Joanna Misztal-Konecka, President of the Civil Chamber of the Polish Supreme Court.

On 17 October, the delegation held a professional meeting with the President and the management of the Curia. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. András Zs. Varga presented the role of the supreme judicial forum in ensuring the uniformity of the courts’ case-law and the case allocation system of the Curia. The partners also discussed the following topics: digital courts and the use of electronic communication when dealing with litigants, the institution of the verification of judges as well as the various models for the administration of the courts.

As part of their professional programme, the Polish delegation held talks at the Office of the Prosecutor General and at the Constitutional Court as well.
