Today, the President of the Curia of Hungary was engaged in an open professional consultation with the European Commission’s representatives in Hungary on the Commission’s Rule of Law Report.

The rule of law is a predominant value in European and Hungarian culture, and it cannot be set aside in the process of the organisation of a society based on justice, peace and cooperation. However, due to the wide variety of cultural, societal and linguistic backgrounds, the rule of law may necessarily have diverse forms in the different legal cultures.

In addition, the President of the Curia of Hungary has emphasised that the case allocation order of the 800 year old Curia is transparent and automated to the greatest possible extent.

The Curia’s written answers given to the European Commission’s questions raised in advance are available on the Curia’s website.
