Exciting international legal issues in Heidelberg

Hungarian, Italian and German legal researchers delivered presentations related to the topics of comparative constitutional law and the constitutional framework of the European Union’s tax harmonisation at a tax law seminar held in Germany. The event, which took place on 7-9 May 2019 in Heidelberg, was attended by Dr. Péter Darák, President of the Curia of Hungary and was co-organised by the Financial and Tax Law Institute of Heidelberg, the University of Heidelberg, the Faculty of Law of ELTE University and the University of Ferrara.

On 10 May 2019, President Darák and a couple of Curia judges and senior legal advisors attended a symposium held in Heidelberg and co-organised by the Curia of Hungary, the Constitutional Court of Hungary, the Academy of Sciences of Heidelberg and the Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg. President Darák participated at the event as a moderator. The symposium focused on the right to be heard by a court or tribunal established in accordance with the law, the right to be heard by a judge or judicial panel designated pursuant to a predetermined case allocation order and the rights of judges.
