Communication concerning the Plenary Session of the Curia held on the twenty-seventh of January 2014

Dr. Péter DARÁK, President of the Curia of Hungary convoked the Plenary Session of Curia judges on the 27th of January 2014.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Curia bestowed the “Judge of the Curia in 2013” medallion on Mr. Zoltán VARGA, Judge at the Criminal Department and the “Official of the Curia in 2013” medallion on Ms. Edit KOVÁCS, Deputy Head of the Financial and Provisions Department.

The participants of the Plenary Session subsequently gave their opinions on the applications for the positions of Head of the Civil Department and Head of the Criminal Department.

During the second part of the meeting, the participants heard and discussed the summary report of a jurisprudence-analysing working group on the drafting of court decisions and the summary report of another jurisprudence-analysing working group on the application of European Union law and on the Hungarian experience of initiating preliminary ruling proceedings.
