Communication concerning the Plenary Session of the Curia held on the second of July 2012

On the 2nd of July 2012, the Curia held its Plenary Session in order to accept the report submitted by the Judicial Council of the Curia, and to express its opinion on vice presidential candidate dr. István KÓNYA, Head of the Criminal Department of the Curia and on departmental head candidate dr. Tibor KALAS, judge at the Curia.

The overwhelming majority of the members of the Plenary Session supported dr. KÓNYA’s candidacy for his appointment as Vice-President of the Curia and dr. KALAS’s candidacy for his appointment as Head of the Administrative-Labour Department of the Curia.

The Vice-President of the Curia, at the recommendation of the President of the Curia, shall be appointed by the President of the Republic.

On the basis of the relevant pieces of legislation, the heads of departments, including the Head of the Administrative-Labour Department of the Curia, shall be appointed by the President of the Curia.
