The President of the Constitutional Court of Romania at the Curia of Hungary

On 19 October 2022, Dr. Marian Enache, President of the Constitutional Court of Romania, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia of Hungary. The Romanian delegation included, in addition to Constitutional Court Judge Dr. Gheorghe Stan, two Hungarian-speaking participants, namely Constitutional Court Judge Dr. Attila Varga and Constitutional Court Advisor Dr. Károly Benke. On behalf of the Curia of Hungary, Dr. Zsolt Csák, Head of the Criminal Chamber, Dr. Árpád Orosz, Head of the Civil Chamber and Dr. Lipót Höltzl, Head of the International Department were present at the consultation.

The participants of the meeting conversed about the relationship between the Supreme Courts and the Constitutional Courts, pointing out the importance of the dialogue between them and discussed the relationship between national judicial institutions and the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as the relationship between European Union law and the national laws and constitutions of the Member States.
