The European Court of Justice’s anniversary meeting

At the invitation of Mr. Koen Lenaerts, President of the Court of Justice of the European Union, Prof. Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia of Hungary, attended the Court of Justice’s jubilatory conference and formal sitting on 5-6 December 2022 to mark the 70^th anniversary of the Court of Justice. The conference brought together the presidents of the constitutional courts, supreme courts and supreme administrative jurisdictions of the EU Member States, as well as the judges and advocates-general of the Court of Justice and of the General Court to discuss the Court of Justice’s activities in defence of the rule of law and judicial independence.
