Last Spring, the Curia of Hungary organised, for the first time, a working breakfast for the ambassadors accredited to Hungary in order to inform them first-hand about the most important events, tasks and goals of the supreme judicial forum. This year’s meeting took place on Wednesday, 28 February.
In his welcome speech, Prof. Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia, gave a historic review of the 300-year-old Curia’s historical heritage and its centuries-long role in ensuring the uniformity of the courts’ case-law. In the context of the current tasks of guaranteeing such uniformity, he presented, in his speech, how deeply rooted the modern procedural tools (the uniformity complaint procedure and the uniformity procedure) are in the tradition of the Curia.
Dr. Judit Gyarmathy, Secretary General of the Curia, informed the ambassadors of the Curia’s case allocation order which is in line with the rule of law requirements.
The presentations can be read in the attached documents and the slideshow presented can be viewed on the Kúria Média YouTube channel.
