Prof. Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia of Hungary, informed the ambassadors accredited to Hungary at a working breakfast about the structure of the Hungarian court system and the role of the Curia therein. In his welcome address, he stressed the historical heritage of the Curia, celebrating its 300th anniversary this year, and he spoke about the challenges of the present and emphasised the role of the Curia as a balancing and value determining forum within the international and domestic court system.
In his address, Prof. Dr. András Patyi, Vice-President of the Curia responsible for ensuring the uniformity of the courts’ case-law, presented the Curia’s Fundamental Law-based priority task, namely the unification of the courts’ jurisprudence as well as its means and its importance for legal certainty.
