The President of the Curia of Hungary attended the Brno Colloquium of the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union

The Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union held its latest colloquium on 13-15 October 2022 in Brno. Upon invitation from Dr. Petr Angyalossy, President of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic, Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia and Dr. Judit Gyarmathy, Secretary General of the Curia also attended the event.

Within the framework of the Network’s professional colloquium, the Network’s extraordinary General Assembly had also been convened.

Visit of a Council of Europe delegation to the Curia of Hungary

On 11 October 2022, the President of the Curia received the visit of a Council of Europe delegation of experts from the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. The delegation was led by Christophe Poirel, Director of the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe, and included as members Patrick Schäfer, Head of the Hungarian Section of the Department for the Execution of Judgments and Lilla Vukovich, officer of the Hungarian Section of the Department.

Chief justices’ meeting in Győr

On 7 October 2022, Győr hosted a meeting between the President of the Curia and his Czech and Slovak counterparts to discuss cooperation between the supreme judicial forums of the three countries.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere and was attended by Mr. Petr Angyalossy, President of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic, Mr. Ján Šikuta, President of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic, and Ms. Andrea Moravčíková, Vice-President of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic.
